The Colorado Karting Tour recognizes that for many interest in kart racing likely comes before actually owning a kart. At CKT, we believe that karters can best prepare to enter the sport by experiencing the rigors of a performance racing kart while remaining in a professionally mentored and guided environment. For this, we have incorporated the “Try Karting” program as an option for potential newcomers to the sport!
Through CKT’s supporting partners, track days with true race-ready karts are available! Each driver is fitted to the kart for their comfort, and each “Try Karting” program is tailored to suit the needs of the potential racer.
At present, the “Try Karting” program is primarily geared towards adults in a full-size kart chassis. However, younger drivers are encouraged to reach out, and we will find a kart option for you!
Drivers must be at least 5 years of age to drive a racing kart. These programs are conducted on days wholly separate from Colorado Karting Tour sanctioned events, and are separately organized and scheduled with each participant.
